Chateau Unang Blanc 2017

Chateau Unang Blanc 2017
AOC Ventoux, White

Grapes:   Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne. Yields of 15-30 hl / hectare, hand-harvested.

Tasting:   straw-colored with reflections of green, our White displays notes of lime, fresh pineapple, boxwood in bloom. It is only afterwards that the exotic fruits are invited conferring a very dynamic mouth. Finally, our trademark – a fresh finish marked by lemon zest.

Terroir:   Unang white grape vines are located in the valley, near the Nesque, 220m above sea level. The alluvial soils, over pebbles, are in the shadow of the plateau of Vaucluse, which protects the parcels from the sun. This exposition results in plenty of cold air over the grapes, (occasionally too cold with frosts)  – contributing to the freshly of this wine.

Vinification:   The juices remained in contact with the skins of the grapes before being pressed. The wines begin their fermentation at low temperatures (15-18 ° C) in fiberglass tanks. The wine was bottled in April 2018.

Notes: serve cold,  this wine works well as an appetiser,  with fresh soft cheese. Drink now or .keep 2-3 years although it can evolve over a longer period.
